How the TCT Programme Works
A gated pathway from application to verification. Each step confirms that candidates are ready before moving to the next stage. Stage 1 (Apply) is open. Subsequent stage dates are confirmed with shortlisted candidates after Stage 2.
1. Apply Online
Submit your tutor profile, qualifications, Tamil proficiency, teaching experience, preferred MOE levels, and intended teaching mode (online or home tuition) after certification.
2. Eligibility Review
Tamilcube reviews your suitability before inviting you to enrol. This keeps the programme selective and reduces unnecessary payment issues.
3. Pay and Complete Pre-requisite Course
Approved candidates pay the pre-requisite fee and complete the online foundation course on Tamilcube Academy.
4. Pass the Readiness Test
Complete an online readiness test covering Tamil language skills, syllabus awareness, and teaching scenarios before instructor training.
5. Choose Training Mode and Pay Training Fee
Choose online instructor-led training or classroom hands-on training. Training fees are paid only after the pre-requisite stage is cleared.
6. Attend Instructor Training
Learn lesson planning, oral coaching, marking practice, student diagnosis, parent communication, and professional tutor standards.
7. Final Assessment
Complete the written/oral assessment, teaching demo, interview, and any required portfolio items for final review.
8. Certification and Verification
Receive a TCT grade from A to D, with certificate validity and public verification. Tutor listing is planned separately.

No. The pre-requisite course on Tamilcube Academy is mandatory for all candidates. It ensures every tutor starts training with the same baseline knowledge of the MOE Tamil syllabus.
Online training is instructor-led over live video sessions — flexible and suited to working candidates. Classroom training is hands-on at a Tamilcube branch, with more peer practice and real-classroom exposure. Both lead to the same TCT assessment and certificate.
You are assessed against the Tamilcube TCT rubric for your certified levels. The overall grade ranges from A to D, with Grade A representing strong readiness and Grade D indicating that further training or reassessment is recommended.
TCT certificates are valid for 2 years. Recertify before expiry to keep your credential current and to reflect any updates to the MOE syllabus.
Fees are split across the pre-requisite course, training (online or classroom), and assessment. Shortlisted candidates receive the full fee schedule with their invitation to enrol after Stage 2.
